The best way to teach is to praise positive actions and ignore negative ones.

 

 

Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.

 

 

 

Indeed, in contemporary times, numerous professionals advocate the benefits of praise. Praising individuals fosters happiness and bolsters their self-esteem and self-assurance. However, disregarding negative aspects is not conducive. Critically and rigorously addressing negative aspects proves to be highly beneficial. Many literature pieces and experts emphasize the importance of feedback.

While I concur with the notion of praising individuals for their positive actions, I dissent from the idea of disregarding negative ones.

Firstly, failing to address negative behavior deprives individuals of the opportunity to rectify themselves. Good parents have a duty to educate their children about right and wrong. If parents overlook negative behavior, children may struggle to discern their mistakes and consequently perpetuate them.

Secondly, providing constructive criticism, albeit with good intentions, does not necessarily lead to heartbreak for learners. On the contrary, they often appreciate such feedback as they recognize its necessity. At times, learners expend significant effort trying to identify their shortcomings. Forward-thinking leaders are receptive to criticism from others, which enables them to rectify issues more effectively. By internalizing feedback from teachers, students can enhance their actions and mental resilience. Moreover, they develop an open-minded disposition.

Furthermore, disregarding negative aspects compels students to identify their flaws independently, which may prolong the process. While this may foster self-critique skills, there is a risk that individuals may struggle to objectively evaluate themselves. Therefore, it is preferable for professionals to provide guidance regarding areas requiring improvement.

In conclusion, disregarding negative aspects is counterproductive as feedback plays a crucial role in personal development. Well-adjusted and astute individuals adeptly utilize feedback from teachers and are receptive to constructive criticism. Hence, I do not subscribe to the notion of ignoring negative aspects.
